Vision

Interamericana Community Self-Development Society seeks to provide high-quality education and vocational training in underprivileged Latin American communities in order to assist sustainable development and poverty reduction for people in Latin America.

Mission

Our mission is to provide accountable, responsible and transparent corporate leadership and stewardship combined with high-quality education and vocational training that support positive social, economic and environmental change and sustainability in underprivileged Latin American communities.

Main Objectives
  • Provide high-quality education and vocational training by constructing or renting vocational centres in local communities in Honduras, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia.
  • Promote the exchange of Canadian experience, knowledge and expertise with people and communities in Latin Americana countries through awareness, education, training and mentorship.
  • Develop mutually beneficial partnerships between our organization and like-minded individuals, community organizations, government agencies and industries.
  • Strengthen our organizational capacity and core competencies by undertaking capacity building activities and actions.
Leadership & Management

Our leadership team has a well-functioning infrastructure of experienced and accomplished industry professionals who make up our current five-member volunteer Board of Directors. Our Board of Directors provides guidance through knowledge, experience and expertise that establishes and maintains the strategic direction for our organization.

Our Board of Directors maintains our legal and ethical integrity while fulfilling our organization's obligations in regards to responsibilities, accountability and proper financial management. Our Board of Directors also ensures that adequate resources are available for our organization to carry out its mission.

Project Management

We clearly understand the discipline of applying knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements and objectives.

We believe that effective and efficient project management involves the accurate application of a formally structured and well-defined approach for organizing and managing resources so that a project is completed within defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints.

Accordingly, we utilize an accountable, responsible and transparent approach combined with an interdependent step-by-step process that enables our project management team to envision the entire project from start to finish. This allows our project management team to coordinate their work and meet project constraints in a professional, practical, well-organized and timely manner.
